The Sherpa People
Sherpas are people who live in the northeastern part of Nepal, in the valleys of the Himalaya Mountains. There are about 40,000 sherpas , many of whom live near Mount Everest, the world’s highest mountain.
Endangered Species
An endangered species is a plant or an animal that faces a high risk of disappearing forever. Sometimes this happens because they have lost their natural habitat, at other times humans are the cause for such species becoming extinct.
Mosques
A mosque is a place where Muslims worship and pray to God. Some mosques are also places where Muslims get together and discuss things or where religious education takes place. In some countries mosques also serve political purposes and Imams discuss political issues.
